Sonar features:
- towed behind the carrier vessel by a tether rope;
- special shape and stabilizers ensure reliable retaining of the sonar at a given depth parallel to the water surface;
- small weight dimension characteristics;
- ability to submerge and recover from the water manually;
- target detection at a distance of up to 300 m.

The underwater thickness gauge is designed to measure the residual thickness of metal structures, ship hull plating, and pipeline walls under water
The thickness gauge has a Lloyd certificate and is approved for use by the International Association of Classification Societies, which the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is a member of.
Thanks to the design features, the ultrasonic thickness gauge determines the actual metal thickness without taking into account the protective paint and varnish or bitumen coating, thus making it possible to measure the metal thickness without preliminary surface preparation and removal of the protective coating
